More evening electronics - bought this 128x64 lcd /w driver chip KS series. Been trying to hook it up to the Arduino. Still got some issues with the control pins I suspect - the wiring is a little "type B" =). Still I love how I actually for once made the darn thing colour coordinated and neat (weeeell nearly anyway). The yellows are power and ground, the reds & oranges are data and the greens are control =).

A little more debugging tomorrow me thinks =).

Man it's been two days since I uploaded the last photo and all I managed to shoot was the same thing.

Well there was that added drama last night about some folks actually getting stuck in the lift for 4(!) hours (apprently they had to walk over a ladder to get to the other lift eeeep)

Had a tiring day - motivation is a little low atm .. feel I should be doing something .. Oh and I checked out the iPhone prices. Damn things seem locked in to the carriers .. I thought that was anti-competitive and hence illegal .. but maybe not.

Update: A friend of mine I started with shot her Day 100 - man I feel slack. But well done (you know who you are =))

very cool day today - saw this while getting lunch (and a few cupcakes). Pity I didn't have the good camera with me but the feeling is there.

Btw got my individual assignment mark which was good - so my group work is no longer relevant =). Yay!

One more visit to the dentist today - my jaw is sore when I open my mouth wide - we're thinking it was the last visit where they were doing the fillings for a longish while.

Came across this "sight" on the way back from the dentist - somehow hammering away (the digger thing is jackhammering) looking thought a keyhole .. it all rang a painful echo ..

Awesome - it worked. That's an Arduino Dice..Diece..a uhm... embedded board hooked up to a 74HC595N shift register (/w latch) and it's making pretty patterns .. well it would be if that wasn't a still photo.. anyways .. good to see that I didn't fry the poor thing =).

I have been bitten by the Hobby-bug.

In my quest to play with some cool technology I have decided to try to make my own solenoids (they are fairly expensive - up to $29 bucks depending what you're after). The above design is what I have come up with after trying out google's sketchup for a bit (it's ony version 1 - a lot more improvements can be made - go make your own! =).

Reflection in the worlds largest sheets of laminated glass (apparently) .. or I think thats whathe said - might just be sourthern hemisphere.

Anyways - taken in front of Apple store, focussing on something other than Apple for a moment =).
